Dungeons & Dragons released Spelljammer: Adventures in Space earlier this year. This has been an official way for fans to take their epic adventures into space and many love it. Well, if you want to take your Spelljammer games to the next level, you’ll want to check out what Beadle & Grimm has recently released. They launched two Spelljammer: Adventures in Space packs that give you everything you need to run your game and more.
The first option is the Silver Edition which will cost you $195. Inside you’ll find a collector’s box, exploded books, a gorgeous DM screen, pre-generated characters designed for Spelljammer campaigns, encounter and ship cards, bonus encounters, handouts in the world, original battle maps, a poster-sized map of the Rock of Bral, 20 new magic items and spell cards, a ship deck map pack, and a Ring of Shooting Stars artifact. This is a lot! The exploded book is actually extremely cute and includes a player-only version of the Astral Adventurer Guide which is exclusive to these packages. If you’re not familiar with exploded books, they’re basically softcover booklets of the different sections of the book. There’s one for the DM, one with info for the players, one that’s Boo’s Astral Menagerieand one for Xaryxis light. It is very useful that the book explodes like this.
The second option is the Platinum Edition which costs $499. Beadle & Grimm’s were extremely generous in sending me one of these bad boys, and you can watch me unbox it below. Inside you’ll find everything from the Silver Edition, and more. Extras include a map tube with battle maps plus a double-sized arena map and 3 ship battle maps, an overworld Realmspace map, a wild space planetarium, a military Giff award, a set of Dead Hands dice and 20 specially curated WizKids pre-painted miniatures in a collector’s box. The minis are absolutely gorgeous and I love them! Is the Platinum Edition expensive? Yes. However, if you can afford it and you really want to take your gaming to the next level, it’s absolutely great. I have yet to release a Spelljammer campaign, but now I think I need one to be able to bring out the awesome minis.
