The phenomenon that was “Smile” this 2022 as one of the most successful horror films of the year, has placed Parker Finn as one of the directors to be considered in horror. And to celebrate its arrival on streaming platforms, a deleted scene from the tape has been revealed, letting many see what a far more disturbing story would be like than we knew.
On its website, ET Online revealed exclusively a deleted scene from ‘You smilestarring Sosie Bacon (via Horror Losers), which is part of a full 1 minute sequence featuring Dr. Rose Cotter, at a party, after being cursed with smiling people.
What seemed like a normal party soon takes a sinister turn, as Dr. Rose realizes that the smiling entity is chasing her, so she enters one of the bathrooms, and that’s when the deleted scene from ‘You smile’ it is revealed why he was cut. Well, one of the scariest moments occurs, when what appears to be a woman with long hair and sinister eyes sees the protagonist from the top of the bathroom.
The exact reason why Parker Finn has decided to remove this scene from ‘You smile’, which would have changed the horror film, as it is based on the suspense that is building, unlike other moments in the film, which has been criticized for its greater focus on fear. That is why this moment is particularly relevant, because there is no time to shout, but rather to generate fear.

In a recent interview with GQ, Sosie Bacon opened up about working with Jessie T. Usher (The Boys), Caitlin Stasey, Kyle Gallner and more on “Smile,” which she said her story is “a reflection on pain, pain and trauma, and how our perception is altered when we’re going through a bad time.”
The story of “Smile” follows Dr. Rose Cotter, who one day receives a patient who claims to be haunted by an entity that is killing the people around her. In her consultation, the girl takes her own life, but not before having given her a macabre smile, which transmits the curse to the protagonist, and now she must figure out how to get rid of it.
“Smile” is available on platforms on demand and from December 7 can be done by the Paramount + service. The director explained that, after the huge success of the film, he hopes to expand the story of this horror universe, but perhaps with a spin-off story in the future.
