Oscar winners Matt Damon (Hunting for goodwill, The Martian) And Casey Affleck (The assassination of Jesse James, Manchester by the sea) are teaming up again to star in a new heist film titled The instigatorswith Douglas Liman (The Bourne identity, Edge of tomorrow) on board to direct. The couple had already entered Hunting for goodwill together, as well as the Ocean’s Eleven movie.
The film, which is in development at Apple, follows two thieves who must escape with the help of one of their therapists after a robbery goes wrong. The screenplay was written by Chuck MacLean and was developed by Jeff Robinov and John Graham, who are also producers, and Casey Affleck.
The project joins the slate behind Ben Affleck and Damon’s new Artists Equity studio, which works with filmmakers to boost creative vision and broaden access to profit sharing.
It looks like it’s going to be a great movie with this talent on board. I can’t wait to find out more and see it when it comes out.
