The film industry is always looking for the highest bidder to ensure your film is as successful as possible. This leads to putting together the best team to make the biggest stake a story can have, but many times the main factor is missing, and there are actors and actresses who have had to turn down important roles, in tapes that have had a great success.

The list is very long and we may not cover all names, however there are many more. actors and actresses who have turned down major films. The most recent example is Timothée Chalamet in ‘The Pale Blue Eye’, who was offered the role of writer Edgar Alan Poe, in the upcoming Netflix movie, but he had to turn it down and opted for ‘Wonka’ instead.

To give life to one of the great icons of music, however, several actors were taken into consideration, Tom Hardy was the one who got the role of Elton John ‘Rocket man’. After going through too much rushed development, production was halted, causing the ‘Venom’ actor to drop out, so they had to quickly replace him with Taron Egerton.

Quentin Tarantino’s career is full of stars who could have been his leads, but for one reason or another ended up out of the project. It is the case of Jennifer Lawrence, who would have starred in ‘The Hateful Eight’, at least these were the director’s intentions. But because the actress had such a busy schedule, the role of her eventually went to Jennifer Jason Leigh.

The latest film by director Sam Mendes, the acclaimed ‘1917’ I would have had Tom Holland, but not as the lead, but as the lead partner, Corporal Tom Blake. But again due to scheduling conflicts, this time not related to Spiderman or Marvel, he had to pull out to record “Chaos Walking,” and the role went to Dean Charles Chapman.
