Theo James had already commented that a certain scene at the beginning of the second season of ‘The White Lotus’ had to tone down because it was “also”but he had not come to reveal the reason. Now this actor provides more details, assuring that a full nude was filmed, which in the end was not deemed appropriate.

The sequence in question, in which James shares the limelight with Aubrey Plaza, has been more than commented on social media because it insinuates … a lot. Cameron, a character played by the aforementioned actor, strips completely naked in Harper’s presence (Plaza), who ends up in that situation for kindly offering to lend her one of her husband’s bathing suits. Grateful for the gesture and intending to don said bathing suit, Cameron walks Harper into her room, at which point he takes off his clothes as she watches him through a mirror.
Sure the plane has already generated conversation in itself, but according to what James says, it could have given much more to talk about. “I thought it was very interesting and very much in the style of ‘The White Lotus’, with the way Mike conveys [White, el creador]. Does the way Mike writes, what he does, push the limits of how calculated that instant is, or is it a trivial matter? At the time, we had to figure out which way to go because it was originally kind of a full frontal, if you know what I mean. We shot it and realized it was too, too aggressive.. What you end up seeing is a little duller, and that’s exactly what Mike does so well. You are never 100% sure of the intentions of the characters”says James in statements to Entertainment Weekly.
Dream holidays
‘The White Lotus’ boasts an idyllic setting, a hotel that can be visited if you want an idyllic Italian holiday as much as the money. The second season of the series was filmed at the San Domenico Palace in Taormina (Sicily), a hotel that is part of the well-known Four Seasons chain and which has had the privilege of hosting Hollywood stars such as Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn or Sofia Loren.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, which was originally a 14th-century convent, perched atop a cliff overlooking the Ionian Sea; charges $850 a night to start with, though there are rooms that cost upwards of $10,000. Furthermore, this dream corner has an infinity pool, two restaurants and a garden bar to enjoy the sunset.
