SHANG-CHI star Simu Liu teases sequel plans and possible involvement with AVENGERS: THE KANG DYNASTY

I liked it Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. I loved that we finally got a martial arts fantasy movie from Marvel Studios. I thought so too Simu Liu he was really great in the role. He has some crazy and impressive martial arts skills!

A sequel to the film has already been confirmed, but Liu offered his thoughts and said he’s made forty of them. Shang Chi movie if you can! He told CB:

“I think I know as much as anyone, right? There will be a sequel, I think that part was obvious but it’s also been made official. As for when I think it’s just a matter of timing and how well my back holds up over the course of I’ll be 40, if possible.”

Of course, once you join Marvel and play an amazing character in the MCU, you’ll never want to let go! Unless you are Chris Evans And Robert Downey Jr. They seemed quite eager to move on. But it’s nice to see Liu so enthusiastic about the role!

He then went on to talk about Avengers: Kang Dynastywhich is led by Shang Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton. She shared her excitement about Cretton getting the epic directing gig and also teased Shang-Chi’s involvement. When asked about it, he said:

“It’s amazing. I obviously heard about the news a little before the rest of the world did, but I freaked out. I’ve been sending him like forty texts in a row, all exclamation points. I’m so incredibly happy for him, he’s so deserving of that place. What makes him such a special director, and I said this from the very beginning when we were pitching our film too, is his ability to make a really, really small $150 million movie in the best possible. I’m really looking forward to seeing what he does on that even grander scale than The Avengers because I think it’s easy to maybe get lost in the spectacle of what those movies can be, the sheer scale and grandeur of it, but if you can keeping the humanity and the human stories, I think that’s what will make a movie memorable and special, and I think Destin has that. I think it has that and I think it deserves it so badly. I’m so excited to have go back to work for him “.

Because of the latter sentence, Liu was then asked if he was confirming his involvement The Kang Dynastyand added, “I would think so… I hope so. Don’t take my word for it.”

I’m sure we will see many Marvel characters appear in these next two Avengers event films! Everyone and anyone still alive and well in the MCU is sure to show up!

Avengers: Kang Dynasty is scheduled for release on May 2, 2025 and will arrive a year early Avengers: Secret Wars on May 1, 2026.
