
Hilary Swank (The next karate kid, million dollar baby) will star and executive produce an upcoming action thriller titled NAR.
The film’s story is set in Latin America and in it Swank plays “a downed, wounded and isolated pilot deep in hostile territory, whose survival is based on the trust of a stranger who claims to be part of a vast secret network designed to bring her to safety. NAR (Unconventional Assisted Recovery) is the name of a real .US program of the Department of Defense.
Seems like a solid project for Swank to tackle. She is a super talented actress and it will be great to see her bring this character to life. It’s perfect for her.
Peter Berg is producing the film together David Thwaites And John Logan Pierson. The film will be directed by Greg Kwedar, who also wrote the screenplay Clint Bentley.
Swank was recently seen as the lead and executive producer of the ABC / Hulu series Alaska newspapercreated by the Oscar winner Tom McCarthy (Reflector). He also recently finished production on the independent film Breast milkdirected by Miles Joris-Peyrafitte in front of Olivia Cooke And Jack Reynoras well as the Lionsgate feature Ordinary angels in front of Jack Reacher emerging star Alan Ritchson.
I just hope it appears Cobra Kai at a certain point!
