To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the first The sorcerer game, CD PROJEKT RED announced that they are currently working on a remake of The sorcerer. Formerly codenamed “Canis Majoris” during the studio’s strategic update, the remake will be a modern take on the 2007 classic.
The game will be rebuilt with Unreal Engine 5 and will use the toolset CDPR is creating for the new one Sorcerer saga. The project is currently in the early stages of development at Fool’s Theory and includes developers who have worked on other Witcher titles. No more details yet as development is still so early, but you can keep up to date by following The sorcererthe official social pages of
I think this should be a really cool remake. I was really impressed with the Resident Evil remakes that have come out and while the original Sorcerer it’s not as old as some of those original games, it will be fun to play it with better graphics. It should be interesting to see what other aspects of the game are changed. Are you excited for this remake? Any changes you hope to see?
