As reported exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter, the fourth chapter of the successful horror saga “The Warren File” is officially underway. The studio behind these films, New Line (a subsidiary of Warner Bros.), hired David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, screenwriter of “Aquaman” and “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom”, to write the script for the new sequel.

In addition to the DC films, Johnson-McGoldrick is a regular character of Warner Bros. and the “Conjuring” saga, as wrote the scripts for the two previous installments of the main franchise, “The Warren File: The Enfield Affair” and “The Warren File: Forced by the Devil”. His relationship with the studio dates back to 2009 with ‘La huérfana’, for which he also wrote the screenplay.

It is unknown what new case paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren will face in this new installment. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, who have played the iconic couple since 2013, are expected to return, but as revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, the project is in the initial phase and the actors have not yet signed any agreements. ‘The Warren File 4’ will be produced once again by the main managers of the saga, James Wan and Peter Safran
