Saban Films has released the trailer for a “High Octane Foreign Action Movie” titled The ambushwhich was directed by Pierre Morel (District B13, Taken, From Paris with love, The gunslingerAnd Peppermint). I like most of the movies that Morel has made, and it looks like it’s going to be an intense thrill experience.
The film is based on the true story of a squad of UAE soldiers during the Yemen War in 2018. They end up being attacked in a valley by rebel soldiers on a routine patrol and their commander conducts a dangerous mission to rescue them.
It looks like a solid movie that tells a crazy war story! What a wild and frightening situation it must have been. The synopsis reads:
The Ambush is a relentlessly intense action film based on a true story by Taken’s director. When their armored vehicle is attacked by heavy enemy gunfire and becomes trapped in a remote canyon, three UAE soldiers desperately await safety. When troops arrive to offer help, they too are ambushed. Their last hope is a daring rescue mission planned by their brave commander.
The action movie stars Marwan Abdulla Saleh, Khalifa Al Jassem, Muhammad Ahmed, Mansoor Alfeeli, Khalifa AlbahriAnd Ibrahim Almusharaak.
Saban Films will debut with Morel’s The ambush in selected American theaters on October 28, 2022, then on VOD starting November 1.
