It was during 1985, the former convicted officer and trafficker, Andrew C. Thornton III, dropped a bag of cocaine from his plane, as he believed the plane was already too heavy. The same day, Thornton jumped from the plane, which he had left on autopilot, and died from a defect in his parachute.
On September 11 of the same year, Thornton was found by the Knoxville police and tied to his body they found cocaine worth $ 14 million, as well as some weapons and a flak jacket. For his part, EscoBear was found dead by a hunter in Georgia, and reports indicate that around him were 40 containers of cocaine, of which he is believed to have ingested 35 kilos.
