I’m sure everyone remembers Children’s garbage bucket cards! I used to collect those things as a child. I had a shoebox full of them which my mom obviously ended up throwing away, which is a shame.

Well, if you were a fan of those cards too, I have a surprise for you! ABRAMS Children’s Books is publishing THE WASTE BUCKET COOKING BOOK FOR BOYS and is loaded with easy-to-follow recipes from New York-based chefs and Chopped Champion Elisabeth Weinberg and your husband, Matt Stinewhose son he is Goose bumps creator and author of GPK RL Stine.

With 35 delicious and mostly healthy recipes, this cookbook made it easy and fun to learn how to cook and eat like a real trash kid! Readers can expect to see recipes like “Nasty Nick’s Garlic Snots”, “Rob Slob’s Trash Bucket Slaw” and “Adam Bomb’s Blender Blaster”! Given the book’s release date of late September (September 27), I can imagine a really fun Halloween themed movie with some of the coarse, kid-friendly recipes to make for parties, trick or treating, etc.

I actually have a couple of recipes to share with you that you can try right away if you want! The first is “Dead Ted’s Maggott Chili” and the other is “Over Flo’s Dirty Diapers”.

These recipes may sound disgusting, but I’m sure the food ends up being decent … if you do it right. The Garbage Pail Kids Cookbook will be released on September 27, 2022.
