This weekend at D23 Expo, Marvel announced the official lineup of characters that will appear in the near future Lightning movie.
The team consists of Sebastian Stanthe Winter Soldier, Julie Louis-DreyfusCountess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russellthe United States agent, Hannah John-Kamenis the ghost, Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster and of course Florence Pughis Elena Belova. The surprise addition to the group is Davide Portois the Red Guardian.
This was a big and exciting revelation, and for the most part the fans seemed pretty excited! The film is directed by Jake Schreierand Marvel joined him, Harbor, and John-Kamen after the presentation.
The director anticipated what will happen, saying, “Obviously I feel incredibly lucky to have a cast like this, to have characters that have such richness and depth and to see what happens when they confront each other.” Harbor then intervened, saying: “They could lose”, to which Schreier replied: “Yes, success is not guaranteed”.
John-Kamen went on to say, “It will be really cool to play Ghost’s kind of painless force and see where it takes it.” Harbor later added that she had been told she would be wearing a new dress Lightningof which he is totally “excited”!
Harbor went on to say, “You look at that Captain America and you see him in all these different movies, with the white star, the black star … I just want a closet full of clothes, so I’m well on my way.”
We don’t know much else Lightning, but I can’t wait to see how it turns out! The film will premiere on July 26, 2023.
