Shudder has released a trailer for a fun new horror comedy found footage titled Deadstream. When I saw that it was a found footage movie, I initially rolled my eyes because I’m not a fan of found footage movies, but then I watched the trailer and it looks like a surprisingly funny haunted house movie!
The film marks the directorial debut of a feature film by the husband and wife duo Vanessa And Giuseppe Winter, who also co-wrote the film together. Joseph also stars in the film together Melanie Stone And Jason K. Wixom.
The story follows “a disgraced Internet personality who attempts to win back his followers by live streaming a night alone in a haunted house. But when he accidentally pisses off a vengeful spirit, his big comeback event becomes a real-time fight for his life.
As you will see, the film will also be filled with genuinely nightmare creatures, ghosts and ghouls. It will be fun to watch this movie!
Shudder shared s’s statement: “With Deadstream, a rare horror comedy as scary as it is entertaining, the Winters have boldly announced themselves as exciting up-and-coming talents ready to take the genre scene by storm. The work of the director duo can later be seen in a segment of Shudder’s highly anticipated V / H / S / 99, the latest installment of the hit horror series with found footage, which will premiere on TIFF’s Midnight Madness at end of month.
The film will be released on October 6, 2022.
