John Wick franchise director Chad Stahelski is developing a film adaptation of the beautiful and tough Samurai game for PlayStation, Tsushima ghost. The film is produced by Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions and Takashi Doscher (Alone, again) is writing the script.

No casting announcements have been made yet, but Andrea Kojiwho starred in Snake-eyes and the recent action movie High speed train, wants to star in the live-action adaptation. In a recent conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Koji said that he is currently campaigning for the role of Jin Sakai, the main character of the samurai in Tsushima ghost. He said:

“I’m going behind Tsushima ghost – that’s what I’ll do. I’d like. I think I can make a very good Jin Sakai. I can take my ride to it. I played [the video game] twice now. I was thinking about it why [the adaptation has] was on the horizon, the whole team was talking about it. He should be alone, because the game is so good. Let it exist on its own and the film should be something a little different. That’s the problem with those video game movies. ”

Koji would be great in the role of Koji and I would love to see him really get the role. I think he’s a fantastic actor who could make this work!

The game, developed by Sucker Punch Productions, centers on the samurai warrior Jin Sakai, the last surviving member of his clan, who must put aside the traditions that shaped him as a warrior to wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Tsushima. .

At the end of the 13th century, the Mongol Empire devastated entire nations during their campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is everything that stands between mainland Japan and a massive Mongol invasion fleet led by the ruthless and cunning general Khotun Khan. As the island burns in the wake of the first wave of the Mongol assault, samurai warrior Jin Sakai is one of the last surviving members of his clan. He is determined to do whatever it takes, at any cost, to protect his people and reclaim his home. He must cast aside the traditions that shaped him as a warrior to forge a new path, the path of the Ghost, and wage an unconventional war for Tsushima’s freedom.

I couldn’t wait to see how this film turns out and I totally support Koji on his journey to try and land the role! Do you think it would be a good choice for acting in the film?
