Netflix released the first four minutes of the The rise of teenage mutant ninja turtles animated film and it’s a pretty spectacular and epic opening sequence! The scene is actually very intense and opens in a post-apocalyptic future in New York City where two members of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles team have died and the other half is in very bad shape. The opening scene gets super hard and dark, and I love it!
The world was ravaged by Krang and the scene features Casey Jones (Haley Joel Osment) sent back in time to warn the Ninja Turtles of the impending invasion of the galaxy’s most dangerous alien force. In the process, Leonardo makes a heroic final stand.
I like what I’ve seen since Rise of the Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie and arrives on Netflix on August 5th.
