During Maya MC Comic-Con panel, it was announced that the FX biker gang drama series has been renewed for season 5. The announcement comes just over a month after the season 4 finale. Maya MC will premiere in 2023.
A statement was shared by the series co-creator and executive producerr Elgin James, who said: “The 20th is my house. I can’t wait to see what we can create together as we move forward. And every single member of the ‘Mayans’ family, from our first call list to our PAs on set and every single person in between put their blood and sweat to make’ Mayans’ something special on set and screen. ‘
Karey Burke, president of 20th Television added, “Elgin is a visionary leader who has handled the near impossible task of being in multiple places simultaneously as the director, showrunner and screenwriter of his brilliant ‘Mayans MC’. He is also a passionate advocate of emerging voices and young storytellers both in front of and behind the camera, which is another reason we love being in business with him. There is practically nothing he cannot do and we are grateful to have him in 20th place. “
I enjoyed watching this series and can’t wait to see how the story continues over the course of the next season!
