SPOILER attention!
* Do not continue reading if you have not seen ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’.
‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ passed its second weekend at the box office, reaching $ 500 million worldwide, and already occupying seventh position in the world ranking of the highest-grossing films of 2022. The Thor movie: Love and Thunder is filled with familiar MCU characters in addition to our favorite Asgardian. And he also has a … divine surprise hidden in one of the tape’s two post-credits scenes. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, you should stop reading.

In the first of the scenes we see Zeus (Russell Crowe) devising a plan of revenge against Thor. The god decides to send his son, Hercules, whom we had never seen before. Zeus’s son is played by Brett Goldstein, actor and writer of the Apple TV + hit “Ted Lasso”. Kevin Feige must be a huge fan of the series, because he chose Goldstein for the role. Taika Waititi explained this in a recent interview with ET: “That was all Kevin was doing. He was the one who said “Hercules … why don’t we talk to Brett?””.
Waititi, who admits he is also a follower of “Ted Lasso”, cannot advance very much on the plans with Hercules in the UCM: “Kevin holds his cards very close to his chest, then I didn’t want to insist too much on ‘where is it going? What are you looking for, where do you want to go with the character of Hercules? ‘ We will see, but it is very exciting to start opening the world of Zeus, Hercules and the Greek gods”. The president of Marvel Studios remains as jealous of Marvel secrets as ever.
The secret cameos of Phase 4
Although the master plan for Phase 4 remains a mystery, There is one detail that virtually all of the films in this phase have in common, and that is the introduction of new characters in the credits scenes.. In ‘Eternals’ we met Eros (Harry Styles) and Pip. In “Doctor Strange in the multiverse of Madness” we met Clea, played by Charlize Theron. And although ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ had already “spoiled” us, in ‘Black Widow’ Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ character Valentina was dropped. Only “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” didn’t have a new character in the post-credits scenes, which brought back Wong (Benedict Wong), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). The next MCU film to hit theaters will be “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”. It will premiere on November 11th.
