FX has released a trailer for the upcoming psychological thriller series The patient. The stars of the limited series Steve Carell as a therapist named Alan Strauss, who is being held captive by a serial killer who wants his help. The killer is played by Domhnall Gleeson.
The Patient is “a psychological thriller about a therapist held captive by patient Sam Fortner who turns out to be a serial killer. With time running out, Alan fights desperately to stop Sam before Alan becomes an accomplice in Sam’s murders or worse, becomes a target himself.
It looks like a great show that tells an extremely intense story. Then there are Carrell and Gleeson, who will perform well.
The series was created by Joel Fields And Joe Weisbergwho previously worked together on drama FX The Americans. He is also the protagonist Andrea Leeds (Barry, Abandonment) as a separate son of Strauss, David Alan Grier (Dad stop embarrassing me!) like his old therapist, Linda Emond (The Golden Age, The Unforgivable) like his mother Candance e Laura Niemi (This is us, the ones who wish me death) as his recently deceased wife.
The patient will debut August 30 and run for 10 episodes on Hulu.
