EXCLUSIVE: Hexany Audio Shares Behind-the-Scenes Video on Creating Music for CRITICAL ROLE Soundtrack WELCOME TO TAL’DOREI

Critical role recently launched the soundtrack Welcome to Tal’Dorei under the record label Scanlan Shorthalt Music. The soundtrack features nearly an hour of immersive music inspired by the land of Tal’Dorei and the world of Exandria that fans have come to know and love from Critical role. But who made that music? Much of the music was actually made by Hexany Audio.

Co-owned with the Audio Director Richard LudlowMain composer Matthew Carl Earland Lead Sound Designer Kellen Fenton, Hexany Audio, the studio is responsible for 10 of the 17 tracks fans are digging. It’s always fun to get a little bit more insight into what happened behind the scenes, and Hexany Audio recently shared with GeekTyrant an exclusive video they made with various composers talking about the creation of the various tracks. I think my favorite part is when Earl talks about the challenge of writing the music because there are no visual elements to accompany the music as the tracks are being made. This gave composers a lot of creative space and I think it really paid off. What is your favorite section Welcome to Tal’Dorei?
