Seth MacFarlane he is best known for creation Family Guy, American father!, L’Orvilleand the two films based on the foul-mouthed teddy bear named Ted. That stuffed R-class character is now headed for a prequel TV series on Peacock, and MacFarlane has provided fans with an update on what they can expect.
In a recent interview with Collider, MacFarlane, who is returning to voice Ted, explained:
“It’s going great. Look, it’s unprecedented to do a TV series where your main character is fully generated in CGI. I think for the movies, we’ve gotten so used to it, but you don’t think this hasn’t been done. up to this point for television. So it’s new. It’s going great. It’s a prequel that takes place in 1993 and spans that era, spans the nineties and tracks what is essentially Ted’s adolescence, I guess. L “Ted and John’s teens. And, growing up in a suburb of Boston. Look, as someone who grew up in that part of the country, it’s a fun thing to try and recreate. The sets themselves are eerily nostalgic. But it’s going great.” .

When the first film came out in 2012, its over-the-top style made it a crowd-pleasing blockbuster, making it the highest-grossing R-rated comedy film ever. As for whether fans can expect the same style of comedy, MacFarlane said:
“O yeah. It’s like a movie. There are no broadcast standards there. It’s an R-rated comedy. So our guidelines are the same as the movie. It’s no different.
