Amazon cancels JK Simmons and Sissy Spacek’s sci-fi drama NIGHT SKY

Amazon’s Prime Video canceled its sci-fi drama series Night Sky after only one season. The series is the protagonist JK Simmons And Sissy Spacek, and it was a great show that told an interesting story! The series has been met with positive reviews and I’m actually a little disappointed that Amazon canceled it. I would have liked to see how the story would continue.

The series has traversed space and time and the story follows Irene (Spacek) and Franklin (Simmons), “a couple who, years ago, discovered a chamber that inexplicably leads to a strange desert planet. They have since carefully guarded their secret, but when an enigmatic young man (Chai Hansen) enters their lives, the quiet existence of the Yorkists is quickly turned upside down, and the room they thought they knew so well turns out to be far more than they could have imagined.

Prime Video, in partnership with Amazon Web Services, SES and Intelsat, aired the show’s first episode in space, marking the furthest distance from earth that a TV series has been released and making Prime Video the first streamer to directly distribute its. contained in space.

I guess the ratings and viewer numbers from space didn’t cut it. Seriously though, I’m disappointed that we won’t be able to see the story continue.

The series was created and co-produced by Holden Millerwith Daniel C. Connolly as showrunner and executive producer.
