Diablo Cody (Juno, Jennifer’s body) will write a new horror comedy titled Lisa Frankensteinwhich is headed by Zelda Williams. It is also reported that Catherine Newton (Capricious) And Cole Sprouse (Riverdale) will star in the film, set at Focus Features.
The film is set in 1989 and the story follows “an unpopular high schooler who accidentally revives a handsome Victorian corpse during a thunderstorm and starts rebuilding it into the man of his dreams using the broken tanning bed in his garage.”
I love the way this teenage girl “accidentally revives a beautiful Victorian corpse during a thunderstorm”. How do you do it by accident !? I guess we’ll find out when we know more about the film and its history.
Regardless, he has a solid, talented team and it will be interesting to see how it turns out. Shooting for the film is expected to be shot this summer.
