“The Boys”: Jensen Ackles promises “big secrets” in the third season finale

There are only two episodes left for the end of the third season of “The Boys”. The Amazon Prime Video series has taken things even further in this batch than the brutal and shameless style the series already had, highlighting chapter 3×06 (“Herogasm”), which is arguably the most graphic and controversial of all. However, big secrets await us at the end of the season, according to Jensen Ackles, one of the new additions to the series.

“The Boys”: Jensen Ackles promises “big secrets” in the third season finale

“There are great, great secrets I can’t talk about”anticipates Ackles, who also highlighted Eric Kripke’s abilities as a showrunner. “But I let you know that Kripke always comes up with things and I was as shocked as I hope you and everyone else are; when I read that particular script, I thought, ‘Wow, wait, what?’ I had to sit down. “ The actor points out the disclosure of secrets, something that will culminate in this third season but not in the series, as a fourth installment has been confirmed.

Ackles plays Soldier Boy, a kind of Captain America. This is the first individual given Compound V, a serum created by Vought (the company that controls superpowers) that gives people superpowers. “It was interesting to come in and be the new guy, but playing the guy who’s been around the longest, and it really created an interesting dynamic, especially with Patriot. (Antonio Starr)“, says Ackles.

push the limits

The sixth chapter, “Herogasm”, took our protagonists into a superhero orgy that takes place once a year, something that has been extensively adapted from the original comic of the same name. On the other hand, The creator of ‘The Boys’ has also expressed a desire to bring back to life one of the most beloved characters of old school fans: Jamie, the hamster, who had a brief cameo earlier in the season. This little rodent also has a grotesque history in the comics, but after “Herogasm” we can expect anything.

“I’d like to have that hamster back”says the showrunner on TVLine (via Comicbook). “And if I can find a way to bring that hamster from Russia to America, I’d love to bring that character.”. What is clear is that there is still a long way to go for “The Boys” and, as Ackles said, Kripke may have more things up his sleeve.
