In a recent episode of Tested, Wild Adam check out and inspect some of the original Colonial Marines props from the director James Cameronis the classic movie Aliens. I love the Colonial Marines in Aliens! It’s a shame we’ve never seen this military outfit explored further in the film franchise. They were so damn tough! After seeing this film as a child, I left theaters with the intention of becoming a colonial marine.
There’s no better reference for a prop maker than to walk up to and inspect the original props from the film, and Adam encounters several pieces of Colonial Marines armor and James Cameron’s iconic Aliens smart pistol! The details on these pieces reinforce Adam’s research from screenshots and behind-the-scenes photos, and there are parts of the armor that Adam never noticed until he saw them for himself!
It would be so cool to see and handle these props in real life!
