I am a fan of Rob Zombie’s music, I used to listen to it all the time and it was during that time that Zombie released his first movie House of 1000 corpses. I was actually pretty excited about the film because I didn’t want to see what Zombie would offer as a horror film director. Well, I wasn’t impressed. I didn’t like the movie and thought it was a complete disaster.

The film follows young couples traveling through the woods of Texas in search of urban murder legends that end up as prisoners of a bizarre and sadistic family of serial killers.

To me, it just felt like I was watching people running down a spooky Halloween alley with no coherent story. I know some people like this movie, and even though it has a couple of funny moments, I’m not one of them, and neither is Zombie. In fact, he called the film a “disastrous calamity”, which I completely agree with.

During an interview with ScreenRant, Zombie shared his feelings about the film, saying, “The first film [I directed], which people seem to love, is just a disastrous disaster. Well, when he got out it seemed like everyone hated him. Now everyone acts as if he is loved in some way. All I see is defect, about defect, about defect … about defect. “

As this is his first film, it makes sense that he is so critical of him. Regardless of his thoughts, and my thoughts, there are people out there who like this movie and I’m sure you appreciate those fans who follow him.
