The first trailer for Greenland 2: migration It has fallen and brings us back to the chaos of survival after a world -end disaster, and if the video is something to do, the stakes are even higher this time.
The trailer kicks off with a quick focus of the original film, complete with the voiceover: “Spatial agencies are monitoring the fragment. They are providing for an event at the level of extinction. The greatest possibilities of survival are the bunkers in Greenland”.
For those who remember, the first film followed Gerard Butler as an engineer John Garrit, who fought teeth and nails to get his family, his wife Allison (Morena Baccarin) and young son Nathan (Roger Dale Floyd), save before the comet hit.
This new chapter resumes five years later, with the garrities still underground. The trailer gives us a tired but determined John that he admits: “Everyone says that this is the new normality. But now it is not so new, and it is certainly not normal.”
The claustrophobic reality of life bunker weighs heavy Roman Griffin Davis (Jojo rabbit). John tries to reassure him, saying: “I know it is difficult to be blocked here, but it’s too dangerous outside.”
But the danger and hope go hand in hand in apocalyptic thriller. A team of scientists reveals that a huge crater in the south of France could have survived the destruction of the comet. “We believe it is a safe area. There may be breathable air, drinkable water …” says a character.
The garrison are facing an impossible choice, remain in the suffocation of bunker’s security or risk everything for the possibility of a better life above ground.
As you see, going above ground was probably not the best idea.
Ric Roman Waugh He returns to direct, collaborating once again with Chris Sparling and co-writer Mitchell LaFornone In the script. The support cast includes Amber Rose Revah, Sophie Thompson, Trond Fausa AurvågAND William AbadieEveryone who adds new levels to the desperate race for survival.
With its mix of gritty family drama, high -level survival and the promise of a dangerous journey through a fractured world, Greenland 2: migration seems a bit compelling as the original.
Greenland 2: migration He is destined to hit US cinemas on January 9, 2026.
