Blue Eye Samurai He is returning to Netflix with season 2 deep in the works and this time, Mizu’s fatal journey for revenge is taking her away from Japan. During a panel at the New York 2025 anime, creators of the series Amber Noizumi AND Michael Green He offered fans a peek at what is coming later, and is a completely new world of goals.
Emmy’s animated winning series has stunned the spectators with his brutal first season, and that cliffhanger ending created a big turn. Mizu’s revenge path now indicates a very different destination.
According to Green, “he believes that at least two of the men who are out to kill will be somewhere in this magical place called London.”
“Mizu’s journey remains the same,” added Noizumi. “Revenge is his religion.” And in the teaser shown during the Netflix showcase, the fans glimpsed Mizu in action while breaking in a new position, the designed blade and revenge in mind. Green has hinted that some time could have passed through the seasons, preparing the foundations for some great revelations.
Characters like SwordMaker, Ringo, Taigen and Akemi will return, but there are more. Noizumi has dropped a cryptic teaser who is destined to arouse fans’ theories: “… there will also be some people you thought died, who perhaps are still alive.” Yes, this changes everything.
While there is still no official release date for season 2, production is moving at full speed. Green previously shared the excitement behind the scenes:
“We are enthusiastic about how it is coming. It’s going great. We have the best team you could ask to work, applying all their talent and experience in making the impossible again. And more than the impossible, and celebrate what we have become good and also try truly new crazy things.”
At the time of that interview, the team was just giving way to work in the premiere episode. “We are actually playing Hooky from it,” Green admitted. “So when we finish talking to you, we will check our and -mail and see the latest drawings or first storyboards for our first episode.”
With great expectations that ride on his return and with Blue Eye Samurai Now a winning electric plant of themly, season 2 promises to be another intense chapter, magnificently realized and emotionally loaded in the incessant research of Mizu’s justice.
