Zach CreggerThe director behind the twisted success Barbaric and new thriller WeaponsIt has a screenplay for the dc movie in the sleeve and we have some new details.
For a while, the rumors suggested that the mysterious DC of Cregger project would focus Joker AND Harley Quinn. But according to the Hollywood’s Heat vision newsletter, the film instead puts the spotlight on the lesser -known criminal world of Gotham City.
The project is entitled Shelves And according to what is reported, a low -level Goon follows in Gotham who, thanks to a “fortune stroke”, manages to incapacitate Batman. His unexpected victory quickly earns a dangerous reputation in the city’s underworld.
While Batman, Joker and Harley Quinn can appear “briefly”, the heart of the story speaks of the criminal nobody who suddenly becomes someone. I love this concept! It looks like such an interesting story!
There are some large road blocks before Shelves It could really go on, though. James Gunn AND Peter Safran I still have to launch Batman, Joker or Harley in their DCU. In addition, GR Note Gunn and Safran can “be careful” to the material linked to Batman while Matt Reeves continues to build his The Batman universe.
The same Cregger recognized the script in a recent Thr interview but stressed that it is not his immediate priority.
“I have Resident EvilAnd then I have a science fiction movie immediately after it’s original, “said Zach Cregger.” And then I have another end of script that I want to do later. In reality it takes place in the DC universe, but it is totally original and is not a superhero film. “
Before you can immerse yourself ShelvesCregger guides its adaptation of Resident Evilfollowed by an original science fiction project. Only after those that the history of the DC crime gets its shot, but given the concept of history, fans of Gotham’s gritty stories should keep an eye on this.
