Lucasfilm Animation has published the first look on the return of Darth Maul to the next animated series Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lordleading Sam Witwer The bad Star Wars iconic is back.
In the image, you can see that Maul is clearly ready for a good struggle for death in an interesting -looking position.
Set in the year following the clone wars (about 19 Bby), Maul – Lord Shadow It resumes after the fall of the Jedi and the rise of the Empire. According to the official synopsis of Lucasfilm, the show follows Maul while trying to reconstruct his criminal empire on a remote planet not touched by imperial control.
Witwer had already talked about the series that said:
“These are worst bad guys. It will not be a show in which you discover that Maul is a real teddy bear, friend … we are not doing it. But is it bad as Sidious or Vader? In reality no.
“From the Sith point of view, this guy has defects … [there’s] The humanity that filters in various points because of things that have happened to him. “
Witwer also makes fun of that Maul’s growing discomfort with the new galactic order plays a key role in history:
