The Fantastic Four: First Step Director states that Reed Richards is “the boy who leads the Avengers”

The Fantastic Four: First Steps director Matt Shakman He recently shared some interesting news that will surely make the fans of the future of the most powerful heroes of Earth.

In an interview with Variety, Shakman discussed Reed Richards’ trip (Pedro Pascal) and made fun of his role in Avengers: Doomsday AND Secret warsAnd how the Avengers will guide.

Shakman’s comments highlight Reed’s transformation, saying: “He passes from being the Nerd scientist who blocked himself in the laboratory, to the husband and father who would have done everything to protect his family, to the boy who leads the Avengers”.

So, it seems that Reed Richards will take the helm of the avengers in the next MCU Avengers Movies. This would make sense as it will probably be the most mature character of all of them.

In the comics, Richards evolved from a brilliant but socially embarrassing scientist to a central figure in the Marvel universe, often intensifying to take the command when the heroes of the Earth need a guide. With Avengers: Doomsday Something, the idea of Reed Richards in a leadership role within the MCU seems a natural progression.

Previous reports suggested that Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) will take care of a team of Avengers, while Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) will lead the new avengers, as made fun of Thunderbolts*. But if they can’t correctly guide their teams, Richards could enter that role and join the teams.

Shakman’s comments certainly leave room for exciting possibilities. It remains to be seen if Reed Richards will command the Avengers or not, but fans are certainly enthusiastic to find out.
