First videos released the first teaser for The girlA series limited to six episodes that will tell an unstoppable and twisted story
The story focuses on Laura, played by Robin WrightA successful woman whose perfect life begins to reveal when her son introduces her new girlfriend. Olivia Cooke Play Cherry and from the moment he arrives, something feels … out.
The teaser quickly composes tension, offering a growing fear, disturbing looks and a bleeding cake. The slogan makes the stakes crystal clear: “A mother. A son. His girlfriend. And the lie they would like had never been said.”
The show is based on Michelle Frances’The best -selling novel and promises a shot to the psychological fune between a protective mother and a mysterious young woman.
According to the official synopsis: “The girl follows Laura (Wright), a woman who apparently has everything: a sparkling career, a loving husband and her precious son, Daniel. Her perfect life reveals when Daniel brings home Ciliegia (Cooke), a new girl who changes everything.
“After a tense introduction, Laura becomes convinced that Cherry hides something. It is a manipulative social climber, or is Laura just paranoid? The truth is a matter of perspective.”
The creative team behind The girl Includes writers Naomi Sheldon AND Gabbie AsherTogether with a room of the writers stacked with talent. The episodes are directed by Andrea Harkin And Robin Wright herself.
The series is previewed on September 10, 2025, on the video first.
