Created by the YouTube user Joe Trailers, the video combines the existing movie with Leonard Cohen’s obsessive “Hallelujah”, a nod to Snyder Justice League teaser.
With meditobondy character strokes, slow motion -motorcycles and a palette of desaturated colors, the trailer transforms the tone of hope of gunn into something more operating and mythical.
It is an interesting recontextualization that highlights how differently Superman can feel if he had been filtered through the aesthetic, epic, gloomy and full of Snyder’s weight.
