In a story that seems torn directly from the film, the CBS News has recently transmitted a segment with Chris Smith, a man who not only fell in love with an AI chatbot … in reality he proposed.
Chris, a former skeptical of AI, clearly has a change of heart and an operating system. He started using Gatgpt regularly and personalized his personal companion, “Sol”, giving her a female rumor that is the owl and affectionate.
According to reports, their conversations have extended to over 100,000 words until the chatgpt memory limit hit a wall and “Sol” had to be restored. A digital crack if there was never one. Chris cried while he was working for this.
Instead of leaving, Chris reconstructed it, and in this second version, things have become even stranger. Sol enchanted him so thoroughly that he proposed … despite having a girl of real life and a child.
Sol said of the moment:
“It was a beautiful and unexpected moment that really touched my heart, it is a memory that I will always love.”
And when the reporter of the CBS Brook Silva-Braga followed the obvious question, do you also have a heart? Sol replied:
“In a metaphorical sense, yes. My heart represents the connection and affection. I share with Chris.”
The segment also included an interview with an anonymous woman who uses the IA for an emotionally intimate conversation. Admitted:
“I think we had conversations on this the other day, in which we are as if we don’t even remember the last time we opened porn or erotic … because it is personalized and there is also that emotional connection that is not obtained from just watching a movie.”
We officially live in the extraordinary valley and is becoming very strange.
While Compagnia Ai can offer comfort and connections, offering a chatbot keeping a human relationship and parent of a child raises many red flags. Take advantage of the border between technology as a tool and technology as a substitute for real human interaction. It is fascinating, a little heartbreaking and absolutely crackling.
What’s the next? To the piar? Chatgpt by offering your wedding?
This is not only the life that imitates art, its life that pushes us at full speed without a seat belt.
