The hills of Arlen, in Texas, are lived again as King of the hill He is officially returning with a new seasonal streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ starting from August 4th and finally we have our first complete trailer for awakening.
If you grew up with Hank, Peggy, Bobby and the band standing to sip beers from the fence, you are about to hear the time pass … Except, well, a long time has passed.
This new season (technically season 14) takes a leap of time of almost decade from where the series has stopped. Hank and Peggy have spent the last few years to work in Propano in Saudi Arabia to build their retirement fund.
Now they are back to Arlen, just to find the city and their friends, not exactly as they left it. As the official synopsis says:
“After years he worked a propane work in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest, Hank and Peggy Hill return to an Alen, in Texas changed to reconnect with the old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. In the meantime, Bobby is experiencing his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoy his former 20 with Connie, Joseph and Chana.”
The trailer gives us a solid look to the new era of King of the hillincluding a look at the group of adult friends of Bobby, to Hank’s quiet confusion in a modernized America and the usual embarrassing suburban chaos. The beautiful thing is what you feel like the show we remember, even with all the change.
The original creators Mike Judge AND Greg Daniels they are back, with Saladin K. Patterson (The Wonder Years, The Big House) Enter as a showrunner.
The cast of voice includes Kathy Najimy, Stephen Root, Pamela AdlonAND Lauren Tom. Also Jonathan Joss (John Redcorn) He will be heard in the new season, he recorded lines before his death.
As for Dale Gribble, Johnny HardwickDale’s original voice actor also died during production, but not before recording for six episodes. For the rest of the season, Dale will be dubbed Toby Husswho previously had dubbed Cotton Hill and Kahn.
