Netflix’s The sandman He is preparing for his second and last season and fans were given their first glance to two main characters who made their debut: Jack Gleeson as a disk and Barry Sloane as destruction.

Gleeson’s album could be a surprise for fans who expect the traditional cheating. Heinberg described him as something much more layered. Heinberg said Entertainment Weekly:
“I bring sensuality to it and malice, psychology and heart. I have the tendency to write to the actors who interpret these parts, and I think our disc is a very different disc from comics, but also from the disc that I would have written for any other actor.”
Gleeson will appear in the episode by adapting a dream of a midsummer night, an extraordinary single story in which Dream collaborates with Shakespeare himself.
As for the destruction of Barry Sloane, or the prodigal, fans should prepare for something unexpected. Heinberg said that most of the dialogue is raised directly by the comic, but the casting Sloane was not only to find someone who could embody an immortal force.
“He has such a lightness of the touch, and it is such a loving human being. It is really what we were looking for this role. Think about destruction, especially as it is presented in the comics during the history of Orpheus, like the last destroyer of the worlds.
“His story in the comic, and also in our show, is actually a soul that is in conflict. He wants to create, does not want to destroy. So you need an actor that is so full of love and so full of joy and yet he seems to be the archetypal soldier.”
In addition to the disc and destruction, season 2 brings a solid range of new characters. Adrian Lester passes as a destiny, Esmé Creed-Miles as a delirium, e Ruairi O’Connor Like the son of Dream Orpheus.
The Norreno Pantheon is also getting involved, with Laurence O’Fuarain Like Thor, Freddie Fox like Loki, e Clive Russell Like Odin. To complete the cast are Ann Skelly as an nulare, Douglas Booth like Cliccan, Indya Moore like Wanda, e Steve Coogan lending his voice to Barnaba the dog.
The sandman Season 2 will be launched into two parts. The first six episodes descend on 3 July 2025, with the last five following July 24.
