Marvel fans tend to get excited every time Kevin Feige opens the mouth on an imminent project, and now he is talking The Fantastic Four: First StepsAnd fighting it.
In a recent chat with Empire, Feige clarified that this film is not just another chapter of the MCU. It is something much bigger.
“I think there are no more important characters for Marvel’s history. When Disney purchased Fox, it was really an unexpected dream that comes true.
“He arrived at the perfect moment to help us throw us in a new era. I am the first Marvel family and I really wanted to do them justice.”
Feige himself contributed to producing the 2005 and 2007 versions of Fantastic Four, and while they had their moments, they never captured what made the characters iconic. This time, the training wheels are off.
“There was still some fear of being foolish,” Feige admitted.
First attempts by Marvel al Fantastic Four Confired, perhaps the worried audience would not have been bought in elastic arts or heroes with rock skin. But since then the MCU has normalized the madness of wonder. Now he is ready to embrace cosmic strangeness Fantastic Four deserve.

I love the fact that Feige is not interested in toning Galactus and that it will only go with the villain. It seems that they are leaning on the madness of their story and I hope that the film provides all this character the same type of narrative weight that Marvel has delivered with their earart films.
I remember that during the maximum of Marvel Studios, fan that we are like “come on the fantastic four at Marvel so that they can make a fantastic movie!” Well, here we are, and I hope that Marvel manages to make fans happy!
The director Matt Shakman recently described the visual approach of the film as “a mixture of the vibrant vibrant art of Jack Kirby and the epic and otherworldly vision of Stanley Kubrick”. This gives us a good idea of the creative ambition behind this. It is cosmic, colorful, and it is bold in a way that looks like a fresh shock for the Marvel formula.
“According to the vibrant background of a retro world inspired by the 1960s, The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces the first Marvel-Reed Richards family/Mister Fantastic, his Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing-How face their most phalloid challenge still.
“Built to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend the earth from a ravenous god called Galactus (Ralph inexion) and his enigmatic herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus has planned to devour the entire planet and everyone on it are not quite bad, suddenly it becomes very personal.”
Directed by Wandavision‘S Matt ShakmanThe film boasts a high profile cast led by Pedro Pascal (Cane), Vanessa Kirby (Sue), Joseph Quinn (Johnny), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben), with a support training that includes John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter HauserAND Sarah Niles In roles still to be reviewed.
The script was originally written by Jeff Kaplan AND Ian Springerwas revised by Cameron Flipion AND Avatar: the water of the water co-writer Josh Friedmanwith Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow) giving him the final passage.
The film will be released on July 25th.
