According to reports, Silver Surfer is destined to appear in several MCU projects including a solo film

It seems that Marvel Studios can have large cosmic plans for Silver Surfer beyond his next debut in The Fantastic Four: First StepsAnd we may not even have one surfers.

According to the Scooper sector Daniel Richtman: “There are plans for Silver Surfer [to] be more projects after [The Fantastic Four: First Steps] Including a solo movie. ”

Even if he did not clarify which version of the character will guide the charge, or when and where he will appear later, I hoped that Silver Surfer would play a long -term cosmic role in the MCU.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps It is set in an alternative temporal sequence inspired by the 60s retro, not to the continuity Earth-616 that most of the MCU projects occupy.

Director Matt Shakman made fun of the fact that the film pulls inspiration from various eras Fantastic Four The comics, including Earth X, a temporal sequence that presents a turning point on the traditional silver surfers by introducing Shalla-Bal, a female version of the character who faces the cloak instead of Norrin Radd.

Some called her “awakened” inclusion, despite the fact that Shalla-Bal was part of the tradition of the silver surfers for decades. Having said that, the expectation between many fans is that we will still see the best-known version of the character, Norrin Radd, eventually present themselves in the earth-616, especially if a solo film is truly being developed.

There is also a speculation Avengers: Doomsday OR Secret wars They could be the next logical places to reappear the surfers. Both would offer a large multival playground in which different versions of the character could exist, including Shalla-Bal and Norrin Radd.

But once again, take everything with a grain of cosmic dust. Marvel Studios is known for keeping his long -term plans near the chest and with The Four Fantastic Set up to get to the cinemas this July, it is unlikely that we will have any official confirmation on spin-off or future apparitions until the film lands.

As for Shakman, he clarified that his attention is to give life to the fantastic four and their world going directly to the material of origin.

“I’m not watching the other films,” he explained in a previous interview. “I’m looking at the comics themselves. I am a big fan of the comics. I have been a big fan of The Fantastic Four since I was a child.”

“So returning to Kirby, Lee and Byrne and following until what is happening – certainly Hickman and Waid and Ryan North, what he did,” he continued.

“I am trying to understand who these characters are for me and how to give them life in the best possible way, and that’s why I started and how we approached.”

Whether it’s Shalla-Bal, Norrin Radd or both, it is exciting to hear that Silver Surfer could finally get the spotlight that the character deserves in the MCU. If Marvel plays its cards well, the next phase of the cosmic narrative could be one of its most ambitious.

What are your hopes for the future of Silver Surfer in the MCU? Would you be down for a solo movie with both versions?
