A second fun trailer was published for the next animated/live-action hybrid film, Smurfswith an all-star cast led by Rihanna As a smurf.
The film is directed by Chris Miller (Shrek the third, Puss in boots), from a script written by Pam Brady (South Park, Cycle, Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken), based on Peyo’s characters and works.
The synopsis of the film reads: “To save their world, they must come to ours”. When Pope Smurf (John Goodman) is mysteriously taken by evil wizards, Razamel and Gargamel, Smurf leads the Smurfs on a mission in the real world to save him. With the help of new friends, the Smurfs must find out what defines their fate to save the universe. ”
The film also reads James Corden, Nick offetor, JP Karliak, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris, Natasha Lyonne, Sandra Oh, Octavia Spencer, Nick Kroll, Hannah Waddingham, Alex Winter, Maya Erskine, Billie Lourd, Xolo Maridueñawith Kurt Russell AND John Goodman as Pope Smurf.
This seems to be in bad taste, but as something you could bring your children younger to this summer to beat the heat. Take a look at the trailer below and look Smurfs In cinemas on July 18th.
