John Lithgow and Jimmy Smits have confirmed to resume dexter roles: resurrection

Two of Dexter Morgan’s most unforgettable opponents are returning to another round of blood.

John Lithgow AND Jimmy Smits They are resuming their iconic roles of Arthur Mitchell, aka The Trinity Killer and Miguel Prado in showtime Dexter: Resurrectionthat has been running to New York since January.

Lithgow’s performance as Trinity in season 4 gained an Emmy, a Critics’ Choice prize, a SAG prize and a Golden Globe nomination. Smits also scored an Emmy nomination for its icy season 3 as ADA-Killer led by revenge, Miguel.

Now they are back and if you are wondering how it works when both characters are, well, dead … well, I guess we will have to wait and see. But I assume that they will return as manifestations in the same way that Dexter saw his father. But then it could also be a flash shaat.

Lithgow is already reappeared Dexter: new blood via flashback. Smits’ return marks his first return to the franchise, even if a younger version of Miguel appeared Original sinplayed by Nick Santucci.

The limited series, led by the return showrunner Clyde Phillips and interpreted Michael C. Hall Once again as Dexter, he is stacked his cast. Family faces include David Zayas Like Angel Batista, Jack Alcott Like Harrison Morgan, e James Remar Like Harry Morgan.

New blood also includes Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage, Krysten Ritter, Neil Patrick Harris, Eric StonestreetAND David Dastmalchian.

An interesting return character who flew under the radar is David Magidoffwho will once again play Teddy Reed by the Iron Lake police department.

It is assumed that Lithgow’s return can lay the foundations for the potential prequel of the Trinity that we have heard for the first time in December. If Resurrection it can connect points like New blood He did for Original sinWe could see even more narrative crossed pollination in the future.

Behind the scenes, Phillips joined Dexter veteran Scott Reynolds as a co-creator and executive producer. The series has already been written and awaiting its summer premiere.
