Insanely awesome and extraordinarily imaginative stop-motion animated short film KID NATURE

I have an amazing stop-motion animated movie you need to watch! It was called Nature of the childand it’s a fantastic film fueled by imagination, full of humour, action, adventure and heart.

I had the opportunity to meet the young man behind this film at the Utah International Film Festival, where I saw the short film. James Moutsos he wrote, directed and animated the film and spent eight hours a day for three or four months making it.

The animation is so well done and so smooth. It’s incredible to see the kind of dynamic shots he managed to achieve in stop-motion in bringing this film to life.

The film centers on “a rebellious, misfit boy trying to escape the mundanity of middle school.” He then runs away into the woods, “only to be swept away into an adventure full of thrills, hand-to-hand combat, monkeys and friendship.”

Jeremy told me that his filmmaking style is heavily influenced by Wes Anderson’s films, particularly The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

I was really impressed with this movie and the movie just spoke to me. It grabbed my attention right from the start and didn’t let go. The movie made me so damn happy and I had to share it with you!

So please take the time to watch, enjoy and share! Jeremy is a young director and I think he has a bright future ahead of him!

I’ve also included a video interview with James, so you can learn a little more about the talented director.
