Separation is one of those shows where the story started to disappear layer by layer, giving fans glimpses of the story’s deeper meaning and darker tones as it goes on.
The season one finale gave us a lot to return to, delving into the characters’ backstories, but leaving a lot open for what comes next. We still have so many questions about what’s happening inside Lumon, and we hope some of them will be answered in the coming weeks.
But if you’re looking for interviews with the show’s stars to give you some juicy spoilers, know that they’re of little help.
During a recent interview with Comic Book, Giovanni Turturrowho plays Irving; Britt Lowerwho plays Helly; AND Zach Cherrywho plays Dylan on the show, was asked how they approach conversations about this series without revealing anything. Turturro said it’s easier for him because he honestly doesn’t know what will happen from week to week.
“I haven’t seen the show, so I’m really an innocent here,” Turturro admitted. He hasn’t clarified whether that means the entire show so far or the second season, but either way it has nothing to offer.
Then Lower added to the conversation, saying, “It’s an obstacle course we’re going through on our press tour,” while Cherry said, “I’m just playing dumb. ‘I don’t even know, I don’t remember.'”
Lower laughed at how appropriate this is for the series, joking, “We don’t remember anything we did at work, we got separated.”
Nice link! I’m happy not to get spoilers and to approach this season like the last, never knowing what to expect.
Separation Season two premieres this Friday, January 17 on Apple TV+, and will air episodes weekly through March 21.
