CW Network has released a mid-season trailer for Superman and Lois Season 4, and previews the final episodes of the series and Superman’s final battle with Lex Luthor and Doomsday.
It looks like this show will end on a strong note, and fans seem to appreciate what the final season has offered so far.
The final season picks up after the events of the third season, starting with Superman’s death after a battle with Doomsday. This week’s episode ended with the big reveal of Superman’s return, which is something we all saw coming.
Superman ended up being saved thanks to a heart transplant from Lois Lane’s father, General Sam Lane, after he was shot and near death. Sam sacrificed himself at the hands of Doomsday so that his heart could go to Clark.
As you might imagine, the human heart is affecting Superman and wearing him down, and there are signs that his superpowers are fading and his hair is turning gray.
Star of the series Elizabeth Tulloch he said about it: “I think the way he comes back is really interesting because all of a sudden he has the heart of a 60-something year old man — and a human heart — that he’s working with. So, he’s a different person whose powers are… we don’t know what he’s going to be like [yet].”
In addition to Doomsday, Lex will suit up to take down Superman once and for all, as he wears technological armor similar to that worn by John Henry Irons.
It will be really interesting to see how the rest of the series plays out!
Superman and Lois airs Monday nights at 8pm ET/PT on the CW Network.
