A24 has released the first trailer for Nicole Kidmannis the erotic thriller Girlwhich comes from the writer and director Halina Reijnwho previously directed the horror film Bodies Bodies Bodies.
The film is said to examine “power dynamics and sexuality in the workplace.” It tells the story of a powerful CEO (Kidman) “who begins an illicit affair with a much younger and charismatic intern (Harris Dickinson).”
Antonio Banderas also stars in the film and will play Kidman’s character’s husband, while Sophie Wilde (Talk to me) will play an assistant “who watches the appointment unfold.” The film is also the protagonist Jean Reno (The Big Blue).
2AM’s David Hinojosa will produce alongside Reijn of MAN UP Film and A24, which is financing the project. 2AM’s Julia Oh, Zach Nutman and Christine D’Souza Gelb will serve as executive producers.
This is the second collaboration between Halina Reijn and A24 after her satirical slasher Bodies Bodies Bodiesalso produced by Hinojosa.
Girl will be released in theaters on December 25th. Watch the trailer below.
