Don Mancini’S Chucky the series was canceled by SyFy and USA Network after three entertaining seasons. The news comes four months after the season three finale aired.
Mancini planned to continue the series with a fourth season and was looking forward to continuing the show. He previously said he had pitched a fourth season, saying “it’s something I really enjoy doing.”
This sparked a #RenewChucky campaign that saw fans express their support for season 4. Unfortunately, it didn’t work and the show and entertainment were killed by the network. As you can imagine, Mancini is heartbroken.
He said in a statement: “I am heartbroken by the news that Chucky will not be returning for season four, but I am so grateful for the killer three years we have had.
“I would like to thank UCP/Syfy/Peacock/Eat the Cat, our amazing Toronto-based cast and crew (the best in the business), and finally, to our amazing fans, a big blood hug.
“Your incredible #RenewChucky campaign has truly warmed Chucky’s cold heart. Chucky will be back! ALWAYS comes back.
Even if we don’t get a fourth season, I guess we haven’t seen the last of Chucky. This killer doll will never die! I’m sure that in a few years Mancini will make another film for the fans. Several months ago Mancini said, “I’m actually in the early stages of working on a new Chucky movie as well.”
Chuckythe series, follows the murderous adventures of the infamous killer doll. Chucky encounters bitter enemies, old allies, and new prey as he seeks to inspire fear and chaos wherever he goes.
