The World of Harvey Keitel (The Reservoir Dogs) AND Britt Robertson (The world of tomorrow) are set to star in a new comedy-drama titled The lettercurrently in production in Buenos Aires, with Rodrigo H. Vila direction.
The film follows Finn (Keitel), “an old war veteran, who wants to write a farewell letter to his only daughter. He decides to hire failed writer Julia (Robertson), who is desperate for money.
“The two, each feeling lost in their own way, form an unusual but endearing friendship that ultimately transforms both of their lives.”
It looks like it will tell a heartfelt story, and as a longtime Keitel fan, it’s always nice to see him get a leading role in a film. Vila and Keitel previously worked together in the 2019 sci-fi thriller The Last Man.
Vila said in a statement: “I have worked with Harvey in the past and we promised to make another film together. This film, made especially for him, has the potential to be a little gem that moves, makes you laugh, cry and encourages reflection on the little things in life, perhaps the most significant.”
Producer Colette Aguilar said: “We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with Cinema 7 Films. The script immediately won us over with its charm and heartfelt storytelling. With a wonderful cast, this film will undoubtedly resonate with audiences of all generations. We can’t wait to bring it to the global market.”
The screenplay was written by Vila and Sebastian Meschengieser in collaboration with Andy Weiss.
