New Rumor Reveals Giancarlo Esposito’s MCU Role in CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD

Giancarlo Esposito He is best known for his roles in breaking Bad, Better call Saul, The MandalorianAND The boysbut very soon he will add to his cast a Marvel role, which will undoubtedly be equally memorable.

Since it was announced that he would be joining the MCU in Captain America: Brave New WorldHis role has been kept under wraps, but a new rumor claims to reveal Esposito’s Marvel role. But before we go any further, be warned: there are spoilers ahead.

Second MTTSSEsposito will play George Washington “GW” Bridge. In the comics, Bridge started out as a member of the mercenary group known as the Wild Pack (later the Six Pack), led by Cable. He would later rise to become a high-ranking member of SHIELD as the liaison for mutant affairs.

Most fans assumed that Esposito would play a villain in the MCU, as that’s his “type” of character, but Bridge seems a bit more ambiguous. However, it remains to be seen how the morally questionable but ultimately heroic Bridge will be portrayed in this story.

Esposito obviously hasn’t responded to this rumor, but he did recently speak to Deadline on the red carpet of MaXXXina world premiere, in which he called his character a “tough guy” and hinted that we will see him more physically involved in the action than in previous projects.

“When you see me in the MCU, you’re going to see a badass and I’m excited about that. Acting is about using every part of your body, your emotions, your senses, your feelings to represent something. You’ve never seen me use my body the way I’m going to use it. The MCU is exciting. I can’t tell you who I play, but you’ll be excited when you see it.”

In the movie, Antonio Mackie returned to the role of Sam Wilson, who is now Captain America. The film also stars Liv Tyler, The Shira Haas, Tim Blake Nelson, Rose Salazar, Danny RamirezAND Carlo Lumbe.

Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox) directs the film from a screenplay written by Dalan Musson AND Malcolm Spellmanboth of whom wrote for The Falcon and the Winter SoldierSpellman will produce the film alongside Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

Captain America: Brave New World will arrive on February 14, 2025.
