Actress Krysten Ritter he’s starred in some really cool projects over the years, from breaking Bad TO Love and deathand more recently, Orphan Black: Echoes.
But his most important role was probably Marvel Jessica Jones in the Netflix series of the same name. The actress also played Jones in the series The defendersand hopes those two series weren’t the end of his run.
After his Defenders co-star Charlie Cox got his own new MCU series, Daredevil: Born Againthe chances look better than ever, especially since the show’s direction was redirected mid-production.
Marvel Studios, after reviewing the early footage, decided to pivot in several ways, even reprising some of the storylines and continuity of the universe that Marvel Television had originally produced for Netflix.
Brad Winderbaum, head of streaming at Marvel Studios, confirmed to THR that all former Netflix shows are now considered MCU canon, including Jessica Joneswhich currently resides on Disney+ alongside its sister shows.
Ritter said of the idea of returning to the role:
“I’m ready and, obviously, I’d be there in a heartbeat. He is a character that I absolutely adore and has been a part of my life for so long. So if opportunity calls, I may or may not already have an extra jacket. Fingers crossed, you never know. But he would be exciting, of course”.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Ritter as Jessica Jones again in the MCU. What do you think?
