The United States Postal Service reveals new DUNGEONS & DRAGONS stamps

The United States Postal Service will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Dungeons & Dragons with a new series of stamps featuring illustrations inspired by the popular role-playing game.

The stamps will be revealed at the upcoming Gen Con Indy 2024 gaming convention. But you can check out the image of the stamps here.

The Postal Service will unveil the stamps and conduct business and retail sales in two locations.

  • Lucas Oil Stadium, as part of the Gen Con Indy convention, near Wizards of the Coast. Retail and postage cancellations will be available throughout the four days of the convention in the West Concourse. Entry to Gen Con requires the purchase of a pass, which can be found at Gen Con website.

  • Indianapolis Main Post Office located at 125 W. South St., Indianapolis 46206, across from Lucas Oil Stadium. The Post Office will conduct retail sales and cancellations on Aug. 1 for collectors and others who do not wish to purchase passes for Gen Con Indy.

Greg Breeding is the art director of the stamps and will be available for autographs on Thursday at 10 a.m. EDT, following the stamp presentation at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Dungeons & Dragons, “celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024, has brought a bold new kind of game to tabletops around the world, in which players collaborate to tell an open-ended story guided by books, dice and their imaginations.

“By inviting participants to imagine themselves as wizards, warriors, and other adventurers in thrilling and treacherous fantasy worlds, the game has opened doors to entire new universes of creativity for generations of players.”

Dungeons & Dragons will be issued as stamps forever and will always have the same value as the current one-ounce rate of First-Class Mail.
