AMC Networks has released the first eye-catching trailer for the upcoming series Orphan Black: Echoesset in the same universe as the original series Orphan Black.
The series is the protagonist Kristen Ritter (Jessica Jones), who is also a producer on the project, and it looks like a great show that will take the audience on a thriller journey.
Set in the near future, Orphan Black: Echoes “dives deep into exploring the scientific manipulation of human existence. It follows a group of women as they become intertwined in each other’s lives and embark on an emotional journey, unraveling the mystery of their identities and uncovering a heartbreaking story of love and betrayal.
“Ritter plays Lucy, a woman with an unimaginable origin story, trying to find her place in the world. The series is also the protagonist Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard, it’s a shame, Line of Duty), Amanda Fix (North of normality, high school), Avan Jogia (Now Apocalypse, Zombieland: Double Tap), Rya Kihlstedt (A teacher, a Mississippi) AND James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry, The Abandonment).
Anna Fishko (Pieces of Her, The Society, Fear the Walking Dead) is the creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer of Orphan Black: Echoes with John Fawcettthe co-creator of the original series who also directed 17 episodes across all five seasons, serving as director and executive producer.
The sci-fi thriller premieres Sunday, June 23 at 10pm ET/PT on AMC and BBC AMERICA; available to stream on AMC+. New episodes will air weekly on Sundays at 10pm ET/PT.
